Post Re: Skyrim
I was reading through multiple threads on Steam and Bethesda.  Came across a single post of a guy who said Xfire was crashing his game.

I shut down Xfire and as soon as I did, I was able to load Skyrim.  It was crashing on the Bethesda splash screen at the beginning of launch.  Every Time.

Now it runs if I have Xfire shut off.

FYI, increasing your stamina when you level up increases your carrying capacity.

good to know.

Finding it very easy though, since you can 'quick travel' so easily, to just load up on the worthwhile expensive things you find, and then go and dumpsell them to some corncob in the general store

There's also a stone up above Silence that increases your carrying capacity by 100 and makes the armor you're wearing account for nothing.

Sent from behind you.

Biggest thing I've found that affects weight is dragon bone and dragon scale.  Everytime you kill one, it adds 3 or 4 pieces of each and each weighs about 10.  Once I got my house setup, I started quick traveling to the house after each dragon kill and dumping the dragon stuff in the chest.

Anyone know if you can get a locking chest?

No need for a locking chest Pharrett.

As long as your stuff is inside, it wont be taken.  Only stuff that is laying out can be taken or moved.

Good thing I am about done with the game.  Was wondering if I was going to get any new content soon as I have completely exhausted the current content.

(I'm level 7 btw, so, basically I already beat the whole thing....twice)

I pretty much gave up on the game after beating Alduin or whatever his name is. (still many side quests to go) Was thinking of getting the DLC but someone mentioned it's priced at $20! Whatever happened to Bethesda's Fallout $10 DLCs?  I guess it doesn't apply to SKYRIM.  -_-

Regardless of how overpriced it may be at launch, remember it's all integrated into steam, so once all the DLC is finished, there'll be a package on sale some time down the road for 10-15 bucks for a dozen+ hours of content. I got all the New Vegas DLC for 20 at the end, and it was easily another 25 hours or so of good content; Lonesome Road in particular was very atmospheric, though still not quite as good as Point Lookout from Fallout 3, which was, in my opinion, the best "dlc" item out there, followed by The Pitt, again, for Fallout 3, and Napoleonic Wars for Mount and Blade: Warband.

Gaaah!  You just reminded me of how much I soooo want Fallout 4 to come out already.
Fallout 3... even with all it's glitches, it had  the music! The gameplay!  It's gore!
....IMO, FALLOUT 3 as a singleplayer game... BEST. FUCKN. GAME. EVER.
